rcm2 limited, in conjunction with Item Software (UK) limited, is pleased to announce a two-day (or two one-day) hands-on training course(s) on Reliability and Safety Engineering Analysis Techniques.
What topics are covered?
Day One (Course 503):
Reliability - Why RAMS? Project/Product RAMS Life-Cycle; Reliability and Probability Theory, Reliability Predictions, Reliability Block Diagrams (RBD), Failure Modes and Effects Criticality Analysis (FMECA), Reliability Data; Examples and hands-on exercises using ITEM Toolkit.
Day Two (Course 504):
Safety - Safety Terminology, Hazard and Risk Analysis, Hazard identification (HazID) and Hazard & Operability (HAZOP) Studies, Risk Management, Risk Mitigation, Hazard Log (Database), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) and Minimum Cutsets, Reliability Block Diagrams (RBD), Common cause and Common Mode Failures, Redundancy and Protection Systems; Examples and hands-on exercises using ITEM Toolkit.
What are the pre-requisites?
It is highly recommended that attendees would brush-up their maths (basic probability and statistics) skills before attending this course.

These two courses are suitable for those whose roles involve Safety/Reliability Engineering, Risk/Value Management, System Assurance and Risk Mitigation, RAMS Analysis, Compliance and Certification.
What will you learn in each of the one day courses?
These two one-day courses introduces the most well-known and widely used tools and techniques for safety and reliability engineering analysis. The attendees are introduced to the Item Toolkit software package and have an opportunity to use this tool to carry out each of the two days' group exercises.

Dr Saeed Fararooy is a Speaker on systems engineering, requirements management processes and IT tools, whole-life system safety and reliability (RAMS/Dependability) management and engineering. He is a practitioner with rcm2 limited, a system safety/reliability solution provider to safety-critical industries.
